3 February 2010Agency announces Renewable Energy Grants Program
Cities and Townships within the Iron Range Resources’ Taconite Assistance Area can now apply to the agency for grants that support renewable energy projects unique to the region.
The Renewable Energy Grants Program during fiscal year 2010 provides $1.3 million in funds for projects that strategically utilize locally available renewable energy resources to stimulate the green economy. The program is targeted at community-based renewable energy projects and site-specific installations for local units of government. Multi-organizational, collaborative projects are eligible.
