19 January 2010P&H MinePro site development underway
Site preparation at the location of a proposed P&H MinePro Services center began about two weeks ago in Virginia.
P&H MinePro Services is a leading distributor and support organization to the mining industry with more than 30 leading lines of equipment and services at over 30 locations worldwide.
The project is located along a former haul road between Ninth Avenue North and Highway 53. Contractors have been working for about two weeks to excavate, level and grade the site.
The $10 million project will create 16 new permanent jobs and retain 80 jobs.
P&M MinePro Services, owned by Joy Global, has signed a letter of intent to move the project forward.
Iron Range Resources has provided $800,000 in community development grants to extend infrastructure and perform site work for the project.
